All the B&Bs in our association do everything they can to reduce their environmental impact. The sustainability practices encompass recycling, composting, sourcing local when possible, growing our own herbs and vegetables, as well as some properties with fruit trees and other farming activities for a true farm to table experience.

4 Casitas has an extensive solar panel, and hybrid windmill system with an 86kW battery storage which allows for true “off-grid” electricity. The solar installation is 64 panels of 320W each.

Casa Campo Bed and Breakfast has a system made up of thirty three 370W solar panels that supplements their electric use.
Rainforest Inn Bed & Breakfast

The solar panels are SunPower Maxeon 3 with IQ7X Enphase Microinverters. Another 26 will be installed soon.
The storage system is four 13.5 kW Tesla Powerwall 2.0 batteries. The full system is designed to take care of 100% of the inn’s electricity use.
